Everton Class Of 2013-14?

Everton have a long tradition of bringing players through their youth systems, but which players will make the breakthrough during the upcoming season?

Ross Barkley
Ross has been held back for his own good by previous boss David Moyes and this could be the season he finally makes his major breakthrough. It's unlikely he will be thrown straight into the team but expect the Wavertree born midfielder to have a greater impact this season. Barkley could thrive playing Roberto Martinez'z passing style of football and just needs to to take his chances.
Chances Of Making A First Team Appearance Next Season: 10/10

Matthew Kennedy
Tricky winger who arrived last season from Kilmarnock, Kennedy impressed for the under 21's but didn't manage to break into the first team despite being named as a sub on a number of occasions. Kennedy could feature more this season, perhaps albeit in the League Cup or something.
Chances Of Making A First Team Appearance Next Season: 7/10

Luke Garbutt
Garbutt has a tough task to oust Leighton Baines and make the left back slot his own, however if Baines was to leave then the former Leeds defender will be buoyed by new manager Roberto Martinez's attitude to bringing through youth. Realistically Garbutt needs first team football (probably out on loan) after a stop start season last term.
Chances Of Making A First Team Appearance Next Season: 3/10

John Lundstram
The midfielder has been highly regard for a few years now and has impressed regularly for both club and country. He needs regular first team football now so expect John to be going back out on loan this season.
Chances Of Making A First Team Appearance Next Season: 2/10

Tyias Browning
Browning is quietly getting on with his development at Everton, however those who have had the opportunity to watch the defender will tell you he has a big big future at Everton. In the short term his first team chances look limited but the fullback is defiantly one to watch this season even if it's just for the 21's.
Chances Of Making A First Team Appearance Next Season: 2/10

Mason Springthorpe
Springthorpe did manage to get on the bench late last season due to injuries but with Joel Robles arriving he faces a challenge to get back into the first team squad. Springthorpe looks to have come on since signing from Shrewsbury and again could go out on loan.
Chances Of Making A First Team Appearance Next Season: 1/10

Harry Charsley
Harry is still very young and wont make his Everton breakthrough this season, however he has started to find the net regularly for the Academy, surging forward from central midfield drawing comparisons with a certain Tim Cahill!
Chances Of Making A First Team Appearance Next Season: 0/10
