Place Of Birth: Liverpool
Nationality: English
Nickname: Longy

Striker Chris has been at Everton since a very young age.

Having worked his way through each age group at the Blues' Academy, Chris made a handful of appearances for Neil Dewsnip's Under-18s side in 2011.

He then made his reserve-team breakthrough during the 2011/12 campaign, appearing more and more frequently as the season progressed.

Chris has also represented England at Under-16 and Under-17 level and was part of the Everton Academy team which travelled to Brazil for the 2010 Futures tournament in Belo Horizonte.

In 2012, he was a key member of the squad which went all the way to the semi-finals of the Dallas Cup before suffering an agonising defeat to homeland rivals Manchester United.

Making the step-up to England Under-18s, Long netted the opener in October 2012's 2-0 win over Italy.

His continued goalscoring form helped Everton Under-18s qualify for the Elite league group for the second half of the season, while an extra-time winner against Port Vale ion February aided the Blues' FA Youth Cup charge.

Long forced his way into Alan Stubbs Under-21s side later in the 2012/13 season and was part of their end-of-season play-off campaign which ended with a 3-2 semi-final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane – a game in which he scored a superb lobbed goal.

He was part of the England squad for the Under-20 World Cup that took place in Turkey this summer.

He signed his first professional contract with Everton in July 2013; a two-year deal until the summer of 2015.
