Everton could make a move for Fulham's American midfielder Clint Dempsey during the summer.It is understood Everton will face competition from Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Liverpool for the player’s signature.
Fulham could reluctantly accept an offer of around £5,000,000 or less for the midfielder, less than half the amount that Fulham supposedly value him at.
Dempsey has one year left on his contract meaning Fulham could sell or risk loosing the player for nothing next year.
Everton’s American connection could help persuade Dempsey to join us but if it gets into a bidding war then our interest could soon wane.
