Kennedy signed for Everton on the 31 August 2012 from Scottish club Kilmarnock. The fee was nominal and he was allocated the number 31 shirt upon his arrival.
Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels told the media that he believed Kennedy had moved too soon and should possibly continue his footballing development North of the border.
He settled quickly into Everton life citing Steven Naismith and the rest of Everton's Scottish contingent as being one of the main factors.
During the early part of the 2012-13 season Kennedy impressed playing in Alan Stubbs reserve side with a string of notable attackng performances which has put him on the verge of the first team.
